This was the best Vietnamese dining experience ever. The food was delicious and the authentic. We ordered the medium sized baked fish for a party of four and it was plenty. The fish was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.  I was surprised how moist the fish was considering it was baked. I expected it to be dry, but instead it was moist. There were sprinkles of toasted garlic and green onion covering the fish that helped compliment the soft fish.  There's plenty of leafy greens and herbs for the spring rolls that came out with the fish. The combination of the warm crispy fish with the fresh vegetables feels light and flavorful. The textures in this dish was helped enhance flavor of each wrap.

We also ordered the imperial spring rolls and beef three way. We ate the beef rolls by wrapping it in lettuce and dipping it in the sauce. I really enjoyed the imperial spring roll. There was what felt like a crispy egg roll wrapped in the inside. When I bit into the spring roll it was warm and savory.

This was my first time at Saigon Block. I was advised not to get their pho, so I went with a rice dish. Everything was good and I even had a bit to take home.

Some of my group ordered the fish, which is the main reason to come to Saigon Block. It is huge and they take out the bones for you. It's DIY with rice paper, peanut sauce, lettuce, bean sprouts, pickled carrots and white radish, basil, mint, cilantro and maybe more.

The restaurant was pretty full and the speed of service was alright for how big our group was. I would like to come back to have the full fish experience for myself.

We came on a Wednesday night around 8pm and it was semi packed. We preordered two fried fish for our table and when we got there they had it all set up ready for us. That was pretty much it, we couldn't get a server to come by to get us drinks or anything else. their service for the night was just terrible and I have yet to have a good experience with them. it wasn't my picking. the sauce that normally comes with it was very diluted. not sure if they ran out or not but it tasted very watery.

    fish: delicious
    service: terrible

I'm a frequent diner, so it's kinda hard for me to do a review. However, i took my friend for his first time today and he absolutely LOVED it.
Here's what we got: lemon soda with egg yolk? grilled shrimp on sugarcane, and the medium baked fish.
So he usually feels indifferently about fish, however, he LOVED this fish.
This is an experience. They bring you everything you need to roll your own spring rolls: all the greens, vermicelli, daikon & carrots, and one of the best things for me.. is the SAUCE!
The fish is so deliciously crispy! It's cooked just the perfect amount, the waiter takes out the bones and everything in it is up for grabs!
The only downfall is.. they don't give you enough of cucumbers and the daikon & carrots. The service  isn't the best! But what Viet restaurant is? We come for the FOOOD!

The very best place for grilled fish. I would have asked for the scallion and fixings to be on the side. Having it on top makes the skin a bit soggy. We also loved the wings, and beef wrapped in betel (?) leaf. We also got raw beef ceviche. It was too small for the price and it wasn't as tasty as expected.
